G2Voice Broadcast #38: Benefits of Fasting and the Don Tolman Interview

Tune in to the G2Voice Broadcast this Sunday, June 4th at 10 AM CST:

ATTENTION: Amsterdam G2 seminar for July 7th-9th has been cancelled!
NOTE: We will reschedule a EUROPEAN G2Church Seminar later in the year

This week we are interviewing Don Tolman, an expert on fasting. For 50 years, he has been teaching and helping many “restore health” from dis-ease by fasting and nutrition. He even has been called the Indiana Jones of whole foods. This guy is a wealth of REAL knowledge; TRUE history. I first heard of him when a woman came up to me in a seminar in Texas a few years ago. One of our students asked me if I heard of a man named Don Tolman. When I answered no, she then told me I should listen to some of his videos on YouTube because I am saying the same things he is about dis-ease, toxins, nutrition and self-care. I did just that and was pleasantly surprise to hear Don talking about the same things we have been teaching for years! I wasn’t surprised that he agreed with us but that he knew so much about many things that I personally believe and gave me more evidence to prove it. Let me say this about Don. He believes what we naturally have in REAL WHOLE FOODS is what our body needs to be healthy and remain that way our whole lives. He has helped many people learn to fast and has taken many through 40 days of fasting with incredible success, even those with a terminal dis-ease! We had a VERY interesting 1 hour interview with Don and I’m sure you will agree. Don is one of us with his eyes wide open!

Tune in to the G2Voice Broadcast this Sunday, June 4th at 10 AM CST:

I do want to mention a few things about fasting and its benefits before we listen to the interview with Don.

Fasting is found throughout history in many different cultures

Fasting, in the various forms that people have observed throughout history, has been known to have a beneficial effect on health.
However, in a religious context, it is primarily a technique for seeking proximity to God and the divine. It seems that every religion knew the practice of fasting in one form or another. In the archaic practices of Hinduism there were certain days of the year set aside for fasting by women, and others for men. In our day, the Brahmin caste in India still observes a complete abstinence from food and drink on the eleventh and twelfth days of every Hindu month.

Hippocrates (400 BCE), the mythical Greek "Father of Medicine," seems to have prescribed total abstinence from food while a "disease" was on the increase, and especially at the critical period, and a sparse diet on other occasions.
Fasting was also known to the ancient Egyptians and Greeks. Similarly, the ancient scriptures of Persia advocate fasting and confirm its value as a means for spiritual purification. The Jews of the Old Testament were known to observe fasts on days of danger and misfortune and on several fixed days in their calendar, of which, the best known to non-Jews, is the fast of Yom Kippur. Jesus is said to have fasted forty days and nights before his final entry into Jerusalem.
The early Christians, most of whom observed the Mosaic Law, also fasted on the Day of Atonement. However, with time, less emphasis was placed on exact adherence to the practices observed by Jesus. The Lenten fast assumed a largely symbolic role, involving abstention from certain types of food only.

Muslims observe an annual fast, during the month of Ramadan. Between first light and sundown, adult Muslims in good health abstain from food, drink, cigarettes, and sex. The fast lasts for an entire lunar month of between 28 and 30 days. It is described in the Quran thus "so that you may attain taqwa or God-consciousness". It is considered another instrument for bringing believers closer to their natural state and cleansing this state from the dross of any disobedience and corruption.

To most of the world, fasting is going without food and ONLY drinking water for a period of time. Well, that is only one type of fasting. There is for sure a water ONLY fast, but many people are finding benefits from a partial daily fast, one day weekly fast, intermittent fasting, a juice fast or even a combo juice/water fast. Whatever fast you consider, it seems that all of them have health benefits in the body. Here are just some of the benefits research has found about fasting:

• Rest the digestive system
• Detoxification
• Reset immune system
• Normalizing insulin levels
• Clear the Lymphatic system
• Enabling ketosis, whereby your body uses fat instead of sugar for energy
• Reducing appetite
• Anti-aging
• Promoting Human Growth Hormone (HGH) hormone
• Reducing triglyceride and fat
• Mental clarity
• Slimming increasing energy
• Promote an inner stillness, enhancing spiritual connection
• Reducing Oxidative Stress
• Promoting Human Growth Hormone
• Reducing triglyceride and fat
• Anti-aging
• Normalizing insulin levels
• Enabling ketosis, whereby your body uses fat instead of sugar for energy
• Reducing appetite

During fasting, we rest our system from the constant onslaught of food stuffs. We usually think of food as giving us energy, so it can be a new way of thinking to understand how the food we eat actually requires energy. Digesting, assimilating and metabolizing--these activities require a great deal of energy. It is estimated that 65% of the body's energy must be directed to the digestive organs after a heavy meal.

from Staying Healthy with Nutrition,
by Elson Haas, M.D.

Free up this energy and it can be diverted to healing and recuperation. It can detox and repair cells, tissues and organs, eliminating foreign toxins as well as the natural metabolic wastes (which are also toxins) produced even by our healthy cells. And this is what the body will do during a fast. It will take advantage of that time and energy to do some housecleaning. The overloaded, overworked system, unable to properly handle all the toxins, has been storing any excesses in the tissues where they can be dealt with later. This is one of the great health benefits of fasting in that it offers this opportunity to play "catch up".
Fasting itself isn't necessarily a "cure" for anything. What it does is "set the stage" or create the environment in which healing can occur. Our bodies know how to heal themselves. We just have to "get out of the way", and this means on all levels of our being. Fasting has a way of re balancing us on all those levels.
Physically, fasting is of high benefit to the chronic degenerative diseases that are plaguing our population and that modern medicine is at loss to cure.

Fasting for as little as three days can regenerate the entire immune system, even in the elderly, scientists have found in a breakthrough described as "remarkable".

Although fasting diets have been criticized by nutritionists for being unhealthy, new research suggests starving the body kick-starts stem cells into producing new white blood cells, which fight off infection.
Scientists at the University of Southern California say the discovery could be particularly beneficial for people suffering from damaged immune systems, such as cancer patients on chemotherapy.
It could also help the elderly whose immune system becomes less effective as they age, making it harder for them to fight off even common diseases.
The researchers say fasting "flips a regenerative switch" which prompts stem cells to create brand new white blood cells, essentially regenerating the entire immune system.
"It gives the 'OK' for stem cells to go ahead and begin proliferating and rebuild the entire system," said Prof Valter Longo, Professor of Gerontology and the Biological Sciences at the University of California.
"And the good news is that the body got rid of the parts of the system that might be damaged or old, the inefficient parts, during the fasting.
“Now, if you start with a system heavily damaged by chemotherapy or aging, fasting cycles can generate, literally, a new immune system."
Prolonged fasting forces the body to use stores of glucose and fat but also breaks down a significant portion of white blood cells.
During each cycle of fasting, this depletion of white blood cells induces changes that trigger stem cell-based regeneration of new immune system cells.
In trials humans were asked to regularly fast for between two and four days over a six-month period.
Scientists found that prolonged fasting also reduced the enzyme PKA, which is linked to aging and a hormone which increases cancer risk and tumor growth.
"We could not predict that prolonged fasting would have such a remarkable effect in promoting stem cell-based regeneration of the hematopoietic system," added Prof Longo.

"When you starve, the system tries to save energy, and one of the things it can do to save energy is to recycle a lot of the immune cells that are not needed, especially those that may be damaged," Dr. Longo said.

"What we started noticing in both our human work and animal work is that the white blood cell count goes down with prolonged fasting. Then when you re-feed, the blood cells come back. So we started thinking, well, where does it come from?"
Fasting for 72 hours also protected cancer patients against the toxic impact of chemotherapy.
"We are investigating the possibility that these effects are applicable to many different systems and organs, not just the immune system," added Prof Longo.
However, some British experts were skeptical of the research.
Dr Graham Rook, emeritus professor of immunology at University College London, said the study sounded "improbable".
Chris Mason, Professor of Regenerative Medicine at UCL, said: “There is some interesting data here. It sees that fasting reduces the number and size of cells and then re-feeding at 72 hours saw a rebound.
“That could be potentially useful because that is not such a long time that it would be terribly harmful to someone with cancer.
“But I think the most sensible way forward would be to synthesize this effect with drugs. I am not sure fasting is the best idea. People are better eating on a regular basis.”
Dr Longo added: “There is no evidence at all that fasting would be dangerous while there is strong evidence that it is beneficial.

Neuroscientist Shows What Fasting Does to Your Brain and Why Big Pharma Won’t Study It by ARJUN WALIA

Below is a TEDx talk given by Mark Mattson, the current Chief of the Laboratory of Neuroscience at the National Institute on Aging. He is also a professor of Neuroscience at The Johns Hopkins University, and one of the foremost researchers in the area of cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying multiple neurodegenerative disorders, like Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s disease.
I chose to include ‘Big Pharma’ in the title because that’s exactly what it is. There have been countless examples of the manipulation of published research at the hands of pharmaceutical companies in recent years. This is why Harvard Professor of Medicine Arnold Symour Relman told the world that the medical profession has been bought by the pharmaceutical industry. It’s why Dr. Richard Horton, Editor in Chief of The Lancet, recently stated that much of the scientific literature published today is simply untrue. It’s why Dr. Marcia Angell, former Editor in Chief of The New England Journal of Medicine, said that the “pharmaceutical industry likes to depict itself as a research-based industry, as the source of innovative drugs. Nothing could be further from the truth.” And it’s why John Ioannidis, an epidemiologist at the Stanford University School of Medicine, published an article titled “Why Most Published Research Findings Are False” which subsequently became the most widely accessed article in the history of the Public Library of Science (PLoS).
I also chose to mention ‘Big Pharma’ because of Dr. Mattson’s comments towards the end of the video.

“Why is it that the normal diet is three meals a day plus snacks? It isn’t that it’s the healthiest eating pattern, now that’s my opinion but I think there is a lot of evidence to support that. There are a lot of pressures to have that eating pattern, there’s a lot of money involved. The food industry — are they going to make money from skipping breakfast like I did today? No, they’re going to lose money. If people fast, the food industry loses money. What about the pharmaceutical industries? What if people do some intermittent fasting, exercise periodically and are very healthy, is the pharmaceutical industry going to make any money on healthy people?”

A study published in the June 5 issue of Cell Stem Cell by researchers from the University of Southern California showed that cycles of prolonged fasting protect against immune system damage and, moreover, induce immune system regeneration. They concluded that fasting shifts stem cells from a dormant state to a state of self-renewal. It triggers stem cell based regeneration of an organ or system.
Human clinical trials were conducted using patients who were receiving chemotherapy. For long periods of time, patients did not eat, which significantly lowered their white blood cell counts. In mice, fasting cycles “flipped a regenerative switch, changing the signaling pathways for hematopoietic stem cells, which are responsible for the generation of blood and immune systems.”
This means that fasting kills off old and damaged immune cells, and when the body rebounds it uses stem cells to create brand new, completely healthy cells.

“We could not predict that prolonged fasting would have such a remarkable effect in promoting stem cell-based regeneration of the heatopoietic system . . . . When you starve, the system tries to save energy, and one of the things it can do to save energy is to recycle a lot of the immune cells that are not needed, especially those that may be damaged. What we started noticing in both our human work and animal work is that the white blood cell count goes down with prolonged fasting. Then when you re-feed, the blood cells come back.

– Valter Longo, corresponding author

A scientific review of multiple scientific studies regarding fasting was published in The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition in 2007. It examined a multitude of both human and animal studies and determined that fasting is an effective way to reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease and cancer. It also showed significant potential in treating diabetes.

“Dietary changes have long been known to have an effect on the brain. Children who suffer from epileptic seizures have fewer of them when placed on caloric restriction or fasts. It is believed that fasting helps kick-start protective measures that help counteract the overexcited signals that epileptic brains often exhibit. (Some children with epilepsy have also benefited from a specific high-fat, low-carbohydrate diet.) Normal brains, when overfed, can experience another kind of uncontrolled excitation, impairing the brain’s function, Mattson and another researcher reported in January in the journal Nature Reviews Neuroscience.”

Basically, when you take a look at caloric restriction studies, many of them show a prolonged lifespan as well as an increased ability to fight chronic disease.
“Calorie restriction (CR) extends life span and retards age-related chronic diseases in a variety of species, including rats, mice, fish, flies, worms, and yeast. The mechanism or mechanisms through which this occurs are unclear.”

Fasting twice a week could significantly lower the risk of developing both Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s disease.

The quote above is from a review of the literature that is more than 10 years old. The work presented here is now showing some of these mechanisms that were previously unclear.
Fasting does good things for the brain, and this is evident by all of the beneficial neurochemical changes that happen in the brain when we fast. It also improves cognitive function, increases neurotrophic factors, increases stress resistance, and reduces inflammation.
Fasting is a challenge to your brain, and your brain responds to that challenge by adapting stress response pathways which help your brain cope with stress and risk for disease. The same changes that occur in the brain during fasting mimic the changes that occur with regular exercise. They both increase the production of protein in the brain (neurotrophic factors), which in turn promotes the growth of neurons, the connection between neurons, and the strength of synapses.
“Challenges to your brain, whether it’s intermittent fasting [or] vigorous exercise . . . is cognitive challenges. When this happens neuro-circuits are activated, levels of neurotrophic factors increase, that promotes the growth of neurons [and] the formation and strengthening of synapses. . . .”

Fasting can also stimulate the production of new nerve cells from stem cells in the hippocampus. He also mentions ketones (an energy source for neurons), and how fasting stimulates the production of ketones and that it may also increase the number of mitochondria in neurons. Fasting also increases the number of mitochondria in nerve cells; this comes as a result of the neurons adapting to the stress of fasting (by producing more mitochondria).
By increasing the number of mitochondria in the neurons, the ability for neurons to form and maintain the connections between each other also increases, thereby improving learning and memory ability.
“Intermittent fasting enhances the ability of nerve cells to repair DNA.”
Intermittent Fasting

IF, or intermittent fasting has been gaining huge popularity recently. It involves total or partial abstinence from food for pre-defined periods of time. Some of the most famous natural health gurus, on line and off, emphatically advocate its detoxifying benefits.

There are various IF disciplines popular amongst health enthusiasts. Some advocate 2 days of fasting per week while eating normally for the remaining 5 days. Called the 5:2 fasting plan, it is advocated by Dr Michael Mosley, who wrote a book about it called: The Fast Diet: Lose Weight, Stay Healthy, and Live Longer with the Simple Secret of Intermittent Fasting.

Another type of IF is the alternate day fasting whereby, as the name indicates, the fast is observed every other day. This however, has proven difficult for most people, as they have to go to bed on an empty stomach during fasting days, or every other day.
Finally, an effective fasting method recommended by Dr Mercola, entails restricting your eating time to a window of 8 hours in any given 24-hour period.

One recommended way of doing it — which was tested by the BBC’s Michael Mosley in order to reverse his diabetes, high cholesterol, and other problems that were associated with his obesity — is what is known as the “5:2 Diet.” On the 5:2 plan, you cut your food down to one-fourth of your normal daily calories on fasting days (about 600 calories for men and about 500 for women), while consuming plenty of water and tea. On the other five days of the week, you can eat normally.

Another way to do it, as mentioned above, is to restrict your food intake between the hours of 11am and 7pm daily, while not eating during the hours outside of that time.
Bottom line, how you think about your diet is, in my opinion, one of the most, if not the most important part of staying healthy. How you think about what you are putting in your body is important, and I believe this will eventually be firmly established in the untainted, unbiased, uninfluenced medical literature of the future.

Physical effects of fasting

"Fasting is the greatest remedy --

the physician within."

Fasting has been called the "miracle cure" because the list of physical conditions improved by fasting is long and varied. Cited most often are allergies, arthritis, digestive disorders of all kinds, skin conditions, cardiovascular disease, and asthma. Because fasting initiates the body's own healing mechanisms, any ailment may show improvement.

Fasting frees up energy so healing can begin
Fasting is a wonderful antidote for our usual over-indulgences. There's nothing wrong with enjoying our food, but excess food on a continuous basis does create a burden for the body. When it must handle more than is comfortable and appropriate for it, it will suffer.

Imagine at work how you feel when you're handed a huge work load--more than you can handle in your 8-10 hours per day, more than is comfortable and appropriate for your job title (or salary level). You're under duress. But you WILL cope. You MUST cope. You must make decisions. You attend to the most important and urgent of matters and set aside those that can wait for another day.
This is what our bodies do when they're overworked; they tuck things away for another day. Whatever tasks can be postponed will be. And more work is dumped on them at every meal- or snack-time, whether they're ready or not. This is why fasting is a beautiful gift you give to yourself. A vacation for your weary, overworked, under-appreciated body.

Fasting and Weight Loss

Fasting has been practiced for centuries. But can it really help you lose weight and get healthier?
It sounds so simple - no choices, no counting calories, no cooking. Just say 'no' to food, and start fasting for quick weight loss and other health benefits.

After all, Beyonce did it. She said she lost 20 pounds by fasting (and using a concoction of syrup, lemon juice, water and cayenne pepper) for her role in Dreamgirls.
But what about the rest of us mortals? We wonder:
Is fasting an effective way to lose weight?

If you weed through all the controversy, you'll find that most medical experts agree on one thing: fasting is not a healthy weight loss tool.

"The appeal is that [fasting] is quick, but it is quick fluid loss, not substantial weight loss," says Madelyn Fernstrom, PhD, CNS, founder and director of the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center's Weight Loss Management Center.
"If it's easy off, it will come back quickly" -- as soon as you start eating normally again, she says.
Even some proponents of fasting for other medical purposes do not support fasting for weight loss. Some say it can actually make weight problems worse.

"Fasting is not a weight loss tool. Fasting slows your metabolic rate down so your diet from before the fast is even more fattening after you fast," says Joel Fuhrman MD, author of Eat to Live: The Revolutionary Plan for Fast and Sustained Weight Loss and Fasting and Eating for Health.

Fasting for weight loss carries other health risks as well.
While fasting for a day or two is rarely a problem if you are healthy, "it can be quite dangerous if you are not already eating a healthy diet, or if you've got liver or kidney problems, any kind of compromised immune system functioning, or are on medication -- even Tylenol," says Fuhrman, a family physician in Flemington, N.J..

Even worse for dieters is that fasting for weight loss "distracts people from the real message of how to lose weight: lower fat intake, eat five fruits and vegetables a day, drink water and stop drinking other liquids, walk 30 minutes a day, and get more sleep," says Fernstrom, an associate professor of psychiatry, epidemiology, and surgery at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine.

In addition, other practices that are often combined with fasting for weight loss, such as colon cleansing, carry their own risks.

"Fasts are sometimes accompanied with enemas to cleanse your intestinal tract, and that can be very dangerous," says Fernstrom. "The intestinal tract has a lot of good bacteria. When you are changing that balance, the good bacteria are affected, too."

Does Fasting Detoxify the Body?

Here's where the debate gets intense.
"There is no scientific evidence it will detox the body. The issue of fasting to cleanse the body has no biological basis because the body is real good at that by itself," says Fernstrom. "The liver is a natural detox center; the lungs, the colon, the kidneys, [the lymph glands] and the skin get rid of toxins."
But Fuhrman, who has supervised hundreds of patients' fasts for medicinal purposes, disagrees.
"We know that the body is unable to rid itself of toxins when we eat a diet low in nutrients," and that applies to most Americans, even those who think they are healthy, he says.
"Americans eat 51% of their diet from processed foods and foods low in phytochemicals and antioxidants," he says. "So you see a buildup of waste products in the cells -- AGE, advanced glycation end products -- that build up in cellular tissues and lead to atherosclerosis, aging, diabetes, nerve damage, and the deterioration of organs. This is basic science and physiology every doctor learns in medical school."
Along with improving your overall diet, fasting is one solution to that buildup of AGE, according to advocates like Fuhrman.
"Fasting allows the body to most effectively remove these waste products," he says. "The body is designed to fast; we do it every night."

How does fasting remove toxins from the body? When you go without eating for more than a day or two, the body enters into ketosis. Ketosis occurs when the body runs out of carbohydrates to burn for energy, so it burns fat.

"And the fat is where the body stores many of the toxins it absorbs from the environment," Fuhrman says.

Fasting to Treat Disease
Fasting advocates also claim that the practice can effectively treat serious health conditions, from arthritis and colitis to heart disease and depression.
In his practice, Fuhrman tells WebMD, he has seen fasting -- combined with improving the diet before and afterward -- eliminate lupus, arthritis and chronic skin conditions like psoriasis and eczema. He says he has also seen fasting heal the digestive tracts of those with ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease, and lower blood pressure.

"Fasting followed by a vegetarian diet interferes with the immune system's activities, especially if the immune system is overreacting, as it does with ," and other auto-immune diseases, he says. He cites half a dozen studies published in medical journals ranging from the American Journal of Physiology - Endocrinology and Metabolism to the Scandinavian Journal of Rheumatology.
Studies published in The Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences and The Journal of Nutrition in 2003 showed that mice forced to fast every other day, while eating twice the normal amount of food on non-fasting days, had better insulin control, neuronal resistance to injury, and other health indicators than mice fed calorie-restricted diets.

Fasting may yield psychological benefits as well.

"I use very brief fasting with my patients to help them cope with stress and depression," says Agnese Barolo, a life coach in contemplative practices in New Rochelle, N.Y. "I start them with just a few hours so they learn to say no to food. Its the first step in taking control of their lives."
Many are so encouraged that they try longer fasts, she says.
"I know some doctors say there is no scientific evidence for the curative powers of fasting," Barolo says. "But there is a reason every culture in every country has practiced some form of fasting for thousands of years."

Spiritual and Religious Fasting

Whether fasting can help rid the body of waste buildup is a matter of controversy. But fasting has been used for religious and spiritual purification for centuries.
Nearly every religious text you can name, from the Old and New Testaments of the Bible to the Quran and the Upanishads, calls upon followers to fast periodically as a rite of spiritual purification, penitence, or preparation for union with God.

Here is a verse from the Old Testament attesting to the fact that your health will be restored quickly by fasting.

Isaiah 58:8; Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the LORD shall be thy reward”.

The benefits of fasting in the Bible - Isaiah 58:6-12

6 Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?
7 Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh?
8 Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the LORD shall be thy reward.
9 Then shalt thou call, and the LORD shall answer; thou shalt cry, and he shall say, Here I am. If thou take away from the midst of thee the yoke, the putting forth of the finger, and speaking vanity;
10 And if thou draw out thy soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul; then shall thy light rise in obscurity, and thy darkness be as the noon day:
11 And the LORD shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.
12 And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places: thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou shalt be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in.

Spiritual condition effects health

3 John 1:2
Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.

Patricia Bragg Ph.D. author of "The Miracle of Fasting" writes "Proven throughout history for physical, mental and spiritual rejuvenation, fasting promotes cleansing and healing; helps normalize weight, blood pressure, cholesterol; rebuilds the immune system; and helps reverse the aging process. If we are to get these poisons out of our bodies we must fast. By fasting we give our bodies a physiological rest. This rest builds Vital Force. The more Vital Force we have, the more toxins are going to be eliminated from the body to help keep it clean, pure and healthy."

Historical and modern day quotes on the value of fasting.

Below are some of the best fasting quotes from both modern medical and health professionals as well as famous historical figures. History shows us that fasting was considered a natural therapy for so many of the ails of the past.
Modern professionals are telling us the same is still true; that fasting will alleviate a host of ailments that plague us in our modern world.
The fasting quotes are divided into four categories: Historical, Modern M.D.s, Other Health Professionals, and Religious Writers and Figures.

"Fasting is the greatest remedy-- the physician within."
Philippus Paracelsus, one of the three fathers of Western medicine

"Instead of using medicine, better fast today."
Plutarch, a Greek biographer and moralist

"The best of all medicines is resting and fasting."
Benjamin Franklin

"Everyone has a doctor in him; we just have to help him in his work. The natural healing force within each one of us is the greatest force in getting well. eat when you are sick, is to feed your sickness."
Hippocrates, one of the three fathers of Western medicine

"A little starvation can really do more for the average sick man than can the best medicines and the best doctors."
Mark Twain, in My Debut As a Literary Person

"Nature heals, the doctor helps!"
Paracelsus, writing about activating
the "doctor inside", or our own healing nature

"Every fool can fast, but only the wise man knows how to break a fast."
G.B. Shaw, writer

"Humans live on one-quarter of what they eat; on the other three-quarters lives their doctor."
Egyptian pyramid inscription, 3800 B.C.

Modern M.D.s
"I believe that fasting is the "missing link" in the Western diet."

"From a medical point of view, I believe that fasting is not utilized often enough."

".... fasting is one of the best overall healing methods because it can be applied to so many conditions and people."

"Fasting is the single greatest natural healing therapy. It is nature's ancient, universal 'remedy' for many problems. Animals instinctively fast when ill."
all from Elson Haas, M.D. in Staying Healthy with Nutrition

"Due to [the] effects of fasting, a fast can help you heal with greater speed; cleanse your liver, kidneys, and colon; purify your blood; help you lose excess weight and water; flush out toxins; clear the eyes and tongue; and cleanse the breath."
James F. Bach, M.D., in Prescription for Nutritional Healing

"Therapeutic [water] fasting accelerates the healing process and allows the body to recover from serious disease in a dramatically short period of time."

"Fasting, combined with nutritional competence, removes the most significant causes of disease."

"Therapeutic fasting is not a mystical or magical cure. It works because the body has within it the capacity to heal when the obstacles to healing are removed. Health is the normal state. Most chronic disease is the inevitable consequence of living a life-style that places disease-causing stressors on the human organism. Fasting gives the body an interlude without those stressors so that it can speedily repair or accomplish healing that could not otherwise occur in the feeding state."

"The job of fasting is to supply the body with the ideal environment to accomplish its work of healing."

"The body's wondrous ability to autolyze (or self-digest) and destroy needless tissue such as fat, tumors, blood vessel plaque, and other nonessential and diseased tissues, while conserving essential tissues, gives the fast the ability to restore physiologic youth to the system. By removing or lessening the burden of diseased tissue, including the fatty tissue narrowing the blood vessels, fasting increases the blood flow and subsequent oxygenation and nutrient delivery to vital organs throughout the body."
all from Joel Fuhrman, M.D., in Fasting and Eating for Health

"Man is the only 'animal' who persists in eating when he is sick, even though he may have no appetite and food makes him nauseous."

"Fasting is a calming experience. It is restful. It relieves anxiety and tension. It is rarely depressing and it is often downright exhilarating."
Alan Cott, M.D., from Fasting: The Ultimate Diet

"Fasting is the strongest appeal to the human being's natural powers of healing and self-rejuvenation, on both a spiritual and corporeal level."
Heinz Fahrner, M.D.

"I often observe in the fasting participants that by four days of fasting, concentration seems to improve, creative thinking expands, depression lifts, insomnia stops, anxieties fade, the mind becomes more tranquil and a natural joy begins to appear. It is my hypothesis that when the physical toxins are cleared from the brain cells, mind-brain function automatically and significantly improves and spiritual capacities expands."
Gabriel Cousins, M.D. (psychiatry)

"Although beginning my practice in fog-covered medical superstition, I came to the conclusion that only nature can practice medicine."

"I contend that during illness feeding becomes a burden to the sick. It uses energy that otherwise would be used to fight the illness."
both from Dr. Edward Dewey

"I must say in all seriousness that fasting when combined with a properly selected diet is the nearest approach to a 'cure-all' that is possible to conceive-- profoundly simple and simply profound!"
John Tilden, M.D.

"Religious ascetics, who led their lives abstaining from food, came to the conclusion that fasting improved not only their spiritual state, but also their physical condition, and through fasting many diseases could be cured."
Dr. Inamura Motoo

"I assert that fasting is the most efficient means for correcting any disease."
Adolph Mayer, M.D., from his book Fast Cures - Wondercures

"Fasting creates a condition of low concentration of toxic wastes in the circulatory system. This is sensed by the plasma membrane of each cell and each cell will then let go of its load of toxic wastes."
Ron Kennedy, M.D.

Other Health Professionals

"Fasting is like being a gifted sculptor who knows how to take areas of fatness and thinness and give them proper form."
Otto Buchinger, Jr.,
director of a fasting clinic

"The practice of fasting tacitly acknowledges the fact that ours is a self-healing organism. Healing occurs naturally if it is allowed; improper or excessive food simply thwarts the natural ongoing healing processes. Forcing a sick person to eat 'to keep up his strength' overlooks the fact that digestion uses up strength too: more often than not, the available strength is better used for healing the problem at hand than for digestion."
Annemarie Colbin, from Food and Healing

"I do not think it is possible to over-emphasize the fact that the physical sensations of fasting are, for the most part, far more pleasurable than the real or illusory delights of feasting."
Herbert Shelton, in Fasting Can Save Your Life

"We must restore fasting to the place it occupied in an ancient hierarchy of values 'above medicine'. We must rediscover it and restore it to honor because it is a necessity."
Buchinger Clinics

"The skin becomes more youthful [during fasting]. The eyes clear up and become brighter. One looks younger. The visible rejuvenation in the skin is matched by manifest evidences of similar but invisible rejuvenescence throughout the body."
Herbert Shelton, water fasting overseer

"When we fast, energy is freed for a thorough housecleaning of the system. The body becomes lighter, more flexible; the mind becomes clearer and more creative. Greater intuitive powers may develop and deep spiritual insights may be experienced after a period of time. A feeling of well-being arises when the energy is freed in this way -- problems suddenly become solutions and ideas flow from nowhere."
Kripalu Center for Holistic Health, from their book The Self-Health Guide

Religious Writers and Figures

"Fasting is a natural method of healing. When animals or savages are sick, they fast."
Paramahansa Yogananda

"The purpose of fasting is to loosen to some degree the ties which bind us to the world of material things and our surroundings as a whole, in order that we may concentrate all our spiritual powers upon the unseen and eternal things."
Ole Kristian O. Hallesby, in Brief Biography
(courtesy of

"Fast because it is good for you...[it can be an] exercise to get the body in shape to be alive to itself. This process frees the self to be more sensitive to the Creation, to ourselves, and to our histories."
Christian Century magazine

"Prayer brings us halfway to God, fasting takes us to the gateway of heaven."

"Fasting is the soul's nourishment, it reins in language and seals one's lips, it tames desire and calms the choleric temperament. It awakens consciousness, renders the body docile, dispels nightly dreams, cures headaches and strengthens the eyes."
John Chrysostom, one of the early founders of the Christian Church

"Seek the angel of fresh air, the angel of water, the angel of sunlight, and the angel of the earth, and invite them to stay with you throughout the fast!"
from the writings of the Essenes

"When you fast, do not look dismal, like the hypocrits." "Be honest, be sincere. Fast for honest and truthful purposes."

Book of Matthew

I believe there is alot of evidence from Real history, Spiritual writings and REAL science, (observation and respeatabilty) which shows us the health benefits of fasting. Please tune in Sunday to hear our interview with Don Tolman about fasting and other interesting topics! Listen to us live at: this Sunday, June 4th at 10 AM CST.

Holland Seminar 2015

I just arrived home from our 52nd Seminar that was held in Gentry, Arkansas. The trip was a tough one but we did it! Jonathan and I drove from Sarasota, Florida to Gentry, Arkansas. Everything went really well until one hour and thirty minutes from Gentry. We decided to pull off for gas and after we stopped on the off ramp to turn left our left inner tie rod snapped! If it happened 1 minute before at 70 MPH, then we would have flipped! The mechanic that fixed it said that for it to snap was REALLY WEIRD, seeing that whole front end was changed 6 weeks’ prior with a lot of driving without the slightest problem.

We had it towed to a mechanic that could fix it BUT, not until Monday the day after the seminar finished. Our new Bishop Edie and her husband James came to pick us up with all our stuff! Thank God they had a pickup.

We were turned around 5 miles from the hotel because tornado warnings and two touched down in Gentry! So, we waited out the storm and arrived at our hotel at 2 AM. We left Memphis at 8 AM the day before anticipating ONLY a 5 hour drive!!! Whew, what a day. The next day was Friday, the day of the seminar orientation. We found out 13 people canceled due to weather and schedule problems but we still had 24 students! The seminar went without a hitch. In fact, one of our best!
We were able to add three new Bishops to our list of Bishops worldwide and 20 new Health Ministers. We now have worldwide in over 135 countries:
• Members - 2800
• Health Ministers - 1830
• Bishops - 100
• Churches – 214

Graduation of 52nd G2 Church Seminar in Gentry, Arkansas

Our three NEW Bishops, Hannan, Joe and Edie. Congrats! Bishop Edie is our 100th Bishop!

Our 100th Bishop!

Three Great testimonies from the Gentry Seminar:

1. MMS Testimony - Dr. Hanan’s Testimony Malaria, HIV, Multiple Sclerosis, Cancer and Fibromyalgia:

2. MMS Testimony - Receding gums and root canal testimony

3. MMS Testimony - Nurse's personal use of MMS and curing Cancer and Interstitial Cystitis

New project to provide 10 – 50 kilos of MMS Sacramental mineral salts to 10 Health Minsters and Bishops.

Three months ago, we asked everyone on our Genesis II Church Mailing list and the G2Voice to help us supply one of our Bishops in Uganda with MMS ingredients. We received word 2 weeks ago that our Bishop, Samula in Uganda received the 50 kilo or 110 lbs we sent him! Here is the letter we received from him this week.

Hello, MARK

Greeting from the MMS community here in Uganda, East Africa. Am writing to tell you that I received the fifty kilograms (50kgs) pack of MMS. Thank you so much for the kindness and the entire Genesis 2 Church members for making our dream come true. We are now more determined with the whole team I work with here to restore health.
As per now I have managed to introduce and train 13 people locally here to use MMS on those in need of it. And I hope the number to grow in the near future as the MMS news is spreading so fast. I have also initiated a project called the HYGIENIC PROJECT where we are mainly handling hygiene related diseases and purifying water for the local community.
So far, we have already covered two villages with over 80 homes and we are still moving on. Hundreds of people have already used MMS for different health problems and the big number is happy with it. Although the public needs much sensitization on the development but we are doing our best. I again thank everyone who is making this happen mostly through prayer and supplies.
I will be sending you photos and videos of the project including the testimonies i have covered with many diseases being cured.
God bless you MARK.

During our drive to the Gentry, Arkansas Seminar last week, Bishop Jonathan came up with a good idea. We were talking about Samula receiving the 50 kilos of MMS Sacramental mineral salts and he said to me, why don’t we make a list of other Bishops and Health Ministers that we know need help and try to send each one a 50-kilo barrel. We thought of over 20 in Africa, South America, Philippines and India alone! These are people we know are actively helping others. The outcome of that conversation and talking to some other Bishops is to start the Genesis II Church Bishops Project where we raise $7,000 U.S. to provide 10 Bishops or Health Ministers with a 50-kilo drum of MMS Sacramental Mineral salts. It cost around $700 US to purchase the mineral salts, air ship and clear through customs. Each fifty Kilo drum can “restore health” from Malaria for 40,000 100% of the time or maintain over 1,000 families healthy for a year! Will you help us?

Here is a short video of some of the “51” G2 Seminars we have done worldwide:

Benefits of attending a Genesis II Church Seminar

One of the many benefits of attending a G2 Church Seminar is to meet others that have their eyes open to health issues we all deal with today. It is good to talk to “like minded” people when so many are trusting the “mainstream medical mentality” to somehow stay healthy! It is a breath of fresh air to hear people’s testimonies of “restored health” from many dis-eases by deciding to “take control of their OWN health”. We will be recording a G2Voice Broadcast at each seminar.

NOTE: Friday Night Orientation is free to all!
By attending the 2 ½ day G2 Seminar you will receive the following:

NOTE: FOOD INCLUDED: Lunches – Sat. & Sun. Snacks Friday Night Orientation and Breaks Sat. and Sun. afternoons. (Vegetarian options)

1. A kit for each student: Each kit contains:

1 Bag for Kit with G2Church logo on it, 1 MMS dropper bottle 120 ML, 1 Activator dropper bottle, 120 ML 1 DMSO, 120 ML 1 dropper glass,1 Shot glass 30ML, 1 20 ML dropper bottle empty, 1 Toothbrush, 1 Spray Bottle 120 ML, 1 Pen, 1 30 ml H20 dropper bottle, 1- 130 page G2 Sacramental Workbook, Empty size “0”capsules, 5-10 grams of MMS2.
This is for “hands on” training.

2. Each Student learns how to make “MMS” in the home.
3. Each Student practices the majority of the protocols.
4. For review and teaching purposes, each student receives:
5 step by step instructional videos covering ALL the G2 Church Sacramental Protocols.

Statistics on Parkinson's

Who Has Parkinson's?
• As many as one million Americans live with Parkinson's disease, which is more than the combined number of people diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy and Lou Gehrig's disease.
• Approximately 60,000 Americans are diagnosed with Parkinson's disease each year, and this number does not reflect the thousands of cases that go undetected.
• More than 10 million people worldwide are living with Parkinson's disease.
• Incidence of Parkinson’s increases with age, but an estimated four percent of people with PD are diagnosed before the age of 50.

• Men are one and a half times more likely to have Parkinson's than women.Source:

Parkinson's, ALS, Dementia, Alzheimer's, Multiple Sclerosis, and Epilepsy definitions below.

• Parkinson's: Parkinson's disease affects the nerve cells in the brain that produce dopamine. Parkinson's disease symptoms include muscle rigidity, tremors, and changes in speech and gait. After diagnosis, treatments can help relieve symptoms, but there is no cure.

• Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), also known as Lou Gehrig's disease and motor neurone disease
(MND), is a specific disease that causes the death of
neurons which control voluntary muscles. Some also use
the term motor neuron disease for a group of conditions of which ALS is the most common.

Dementia: a chronic or persistent disorder of the mental processes caused by brain disease or injury and marked by memory disorders, personality changes, and impaired reasoning.

Alzheimer’s disease is an irreversible, progressive brain disorder that slowly destroys memory and thinking skills, and eventually the ability to carry out the simplest tasks. In most people with Alzheimer’s, symptoms first appear in their mid-60s. Estimates vary, but experts suggest that more than 5 million Americans may have Alzheimer’s.

Alzheimer's disease is currently ranked as the sixth leading cause of death in the United States, but recent estimates indicate that the disorder may rank third, just behind heart disease and cancer, as a cause of death for older people.

Alzheimer’s is the most common cause of dementia among older adults. Dementia is the loss of cognitive functioning—thinking, remembering, and reasoning—and behavioral abilities to such an extent that it interferes with a person’s daily life and activities. Dementia ranges in severity from the mildest stage, when it is just beginning to affect a person’s functioning, to the most severe stage, when the person must depend completely on others for basic activities of daily living.

Multiple Sclerosis: Multiple sclerosis (MS) is an unpredictable, often disabling disease of the central nervous system that disrupts the flow of information within the brain, and between the brain and body.

The cause of MS is still unknown – scientists believe the disease is triggered by as-yet-unidentified environmental factor in a person who is genetically predisposed to respond.

Epilepsy is a brain disorder in which clusters of nerve cells, or neurons, in the brain sometimes signal abnormally causing strange sensations, emotions, and behavior, or sometimes convulsions, muscle spasms, and loss of consciousness.

We don’t have any Parkinson’s dis-ease testimonies yet, but some of these testimonies below are similar. I have talked with people that have told me their parents either had dementia, Parkinson's or Alzheimer's and it is now cured, but not received a testimony yet. PLEASE, if anyone has a testimony of Parkinson’s disease cured from MMS please, send it to us at: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. We need it to help the people suffering from this horrible dis-ease of the body. Below are a few testimonies of some Neurological problems that were cured with MMS and the Genesis II Church Sacraments.

Written Testimonies:
Memory came back

An elderly guy (in his 80-90's), who claimed he was the last survivor of the chemical company (since closed), that use to operate in New Plymouth, and made Agent Orange, and many other toxic sprays. After 50 odd years working there, he said that he was so full of toxins that he couldn't remember things that he had done the day before, along with other health effects relating to a build up of toxins in the body. Someone told him about MMS, which he tried. He phoned me on the second day all excited, saying that he remembered all he had done the day before. He claimed to be 100% better within about a week on MMS. He is now an advocate for MMS, telling everyone who is willing to listen.

I have seen many problems solved with MMS. My favorite was when my mother was diognosed with Alzheimers and was given a pill, which after taking the first one at 10 PM, paralized her body but allowed her to talk and she was scared. I listened to her cry when it happened. She did not even know what she was taking. After she told me which bottle, I googled the pills which turned out to be Alzheimers meds and not effective. So my mother when asked, if she wanted to keep taking them, she said no. I gave her 6 drops of the MMS and fifteen minutes later she was fast asleep. In the morning I gave her 6 more drops and an hour later 6 more. By 9:30 AM we had a normal conversation about how she met my father some 65 years before, her clarity of thought had returned. After 1 week of protocol 1000 she felt so good she stopped taking the MMS and after a month her symptoms returned. 1 week on protocol 1000 again she felt great and stopped taking the MMS I tried to get to keep taking it but after a week she felt she had enough sure enough it came back a month later and then we would start again. However the clarity of thought provided my mother was undeniable. 3 years later most of my siblings had forgotten about her alzheimers diognosis.
Keith Pace
PS- Jim Humble you're my Hero.

Alzheimer's gone
I am familiar with Alzheimer's, so when I had symptoms occur, they were familiar to me. I noticed I was not coping socially, and starting to have total gaps in my memory (and thus withdrawing). Because I had heard of mms being used to cure dementia I decided I had nothing to loose. I followed the protocl 1 for one month, slowly building up to the full dose of 3 drops every hour for 8 hours, and staying with the regime, for the full period, (it is important to note that if the dose is causing you to feel unwell, cut back on the doses per day and keep it low for 2 days then start to increase to the level you can tolerate, but do not stop all together). By the end of the treatment I noticed a remarkable change in my cognition, and as time goes on my condition continues to improve. I feel like a new person, I am social again, happy, and look forward to each new day.
Posted : 20-11-2012

My father had a very serious back operation and was under anesthesia for approximately 5 hours. In post-op he was confused. As his stay in the hospital progressed he regressed. He was experiencing significant dementia. The doctors claimed that the surgery just brought forth and underlying problem that was already there. My dad, being 78 at the time was very healthy, ran a ranch, prior to surgery.
One day I got I remembered the MMS1 and decided to give it a try on my dad. By this time he was in assisted care. I did Clare's combination on him and by the time I left that day he was much clearer. I came back the next day and did the same with even greater improvement. By the third day, after the doses, he was back to himself and able to go home.
If not for the MMS I don't think he would of ever been able to leave assisted living. He was getting worse and worse, not knowing where he was or who we were. I was so excited!!! The MMS really works!!
Thanks you for your commitment to help others!
Dianne G

After my mother was diognosed with Alzheimers she hated the effects of the pill so much that she was willing to try MMS. Her symptoms disapeared almost over night the next morning after only drinking 6 drops 3 times she told me the story of how she met my father some 60 years before which was impossable the day before. She continued taking it for a week and then felt so good she stopped taking it within 1 month the symptoms returned after taking MMS again the symptoms went away again. she had to take a daily maintanence dose to keep it at bay.
Thank you Jim Humble you are my Hero,
• Spanish video testimony of MMS curing Alzheimers. Mms cura Alzheimers:
• Spanish video testimony of MMS curing ALS. Testimonio MMS ELA (Esclerosis lateral amiotrófica):
The EXACT cause of Parkinson’s dis-ease is not known according to the Mainstream Medical Industry. One doctor in the video below thinks Alzheimer’s is caused by a bacterium. Could Parlkinson’s be caused by a bacterial infection in the brain? Good question and if so, that is why Chlorine Dioxide kills it because it is anti-bacterial,(bad bacterium).

Doctor talks about Alzheimers being a bacteria casue:

Below is the major consensus of what Parkinson’s is and theories about how it is caused.

What Causes Parkinson's Disease?
Parkinson's disease is caused by the progressive impairment or deterioration of neurons (nerve cells) in an area of the brain known as the substantia nigra. When functioning normally, these neurons produce a vital brain chemical known as dopamine. Dopamine serves as a chemical messenger allowing communication between the substantia nigra and another area of the brain called the corpus striatum. This communication coordinates smooth and balanced muscle movement. A lack of dopamine results in abnormal nerve functioning, causing a loss in the ability to control body movements.

Why Does Parkinson's Disease Occur?
Why Parkinson's disease occurs and how the neurons become impaired is not known. (bold emphasis mine) However, there is increasing evidence that Parkinson's disease may be inherited (passed on genetically from family members).
There is considerable controversy surrounding the possibility of a genetic cause of Parkinson's disease. In a small number of families, specific genetic abnormalities leading to the illness have been identified. However, the vast majority of people with Parkinson's disease do not have one of these identified genetic abnormalities. It is probable that in people who develop Parkinson's disease early in life (called young-onset Parkinson's disease) there is a genetic component. Because we don't understand very much at this point about how Parkinson's disease is inherited, the implications for children of people with Parkinson's disease are unclear.
There is also some evidence that certain toxins in the environment may cause Parkinson's disease. Scientists have suggested that external or internal toxins may selectively destroy the dopaminergic neurons, causing Parkinson's disease. Toxins that may be linked to Parkinson's include manganese, carbon monoxide, carbon disulfide, and some other pesticides.
Also, it is believed that oxidative stress can cause Parkinson's disease. Oxidation is a process in which free radicals (unstable molecules lacking one electron), in an attempt to replace the missing electron, react with other molecules (such as iron). Free radicals are normally formed in the brain and body, but usually the brain and body have mechanisms to get rid of them. In people with Parkinson's disease, the mechanisms may not be effective or they may produce too many free radicals. It is also possible that environmental toxins may contribute to abnormal free radical formation and lead to Parkinson's disease. Oxidation is thought to cause damage to tissues, including neurons. In most cases, antioxidants protect cells from free radical damage.

Are toxins the culprit with when it comes to Parkinson’s disease?

Wednesday December 08, 2010
Viartis - There are now fourteen known toxic causes of Parkinson's Disease : pesticides (Paraquat, Rotenone, Maneb), solvents (Trichloroethylene, Toluene, N-Hexane, Carbon disulfide), MPTP, Mercury, Manganese, Copper, Carbon monoxide, Lead, Cyanide.

Although Agent Orange is widely claimed to be a toxic cause of Parkinson's Disease, not even one study in the entire medical literature has ever shown that to be true.

Toxicity has the potential to be the sole cause of Parkinson's Disease. To very varying extents, toxicity can also be a partial cause of Parkinson's Disease. Symptoms normally develop when toxic exposure occurs or soon after, or gradually increase over time as exposure to toxicity persists.

Symptoms do not develop years or decades after exposure as is often claimed. In fact, there is a tendency for toxic effects to decline over time, but with some toxic substances that can take years.

The prevalence of Parkinson's Disease that is due to toxicity is not known. However, the evidence suggests that the number of people whose Parkinson's Disease is due to toxicity is very low, being the exception rather than the norm.

The toxic causes of Parkinson's Disease each cause different symptoms because of the different biochemical means by which toxicity is caused, and because of the other biochemical functions that each of the particular toxins affects.

In order to cause Parkinson's Disease, the level of toxic exposure usually has to be either acute or chronic. Mild exposure to some of the known toxic causes would have no noticeable effect.

Some other potentially toxic causes of Parkinson's Disease, such as copper and manganese are actually beneficial to health in normal quantities, and can only cause Parkinson's Disease in very large quantities. For a completely comprehensive, fully referenced, up to date and printable summary of each of the toxic causes of Parkinson's Disease, go to Toxic causes of Parkinson's Disease

Scientists are working to better understand the broad range of environmental exposures linked to Parkinson’s disease. While the exact cause of Parkinson’s disease is unknown, most experts agree that the condition is caused by a combination of genetic and environmental factors (chemicals from occupational exposure or rural living, head trauma, etc.). Some experts explain it this way: genes load the gun and environment pulls the trigger.
We know that exposure to certain environmental factors increases an individual’s risk of developing Parkinson’s disease, but exposure to any one of these factors doesn’t mean a person will actually develop the disease. In most people with Parkinson’s, it’s a collection of factors acting synergistically that ultimately leads to symptoms and a diagnosis.

Non-genetic risk factors for Parkinson’s disease
While age is the biggest risk factor for Parkinson's, many chemicals used in various professions – such as welding, farming, military activities and industrial processes – have been associated with the disease. Some specific chemicals and other factors are listed below:
• Insecticides: permethrin and beta-hexachlorocyclohexane (beta-HCH)
• Herbicides: paraquat and 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid
• Fungicide: maneb
• Agent Orange used in the Vietnam War
• MPTP, a synthetic neurotoxin (can cause Parkinsonism)
• Head injuries

New Evidence Suggests Parkinson's Might Start in the Gut, Not the Brain

“Now a new study in mice has shown that the toxic fibres that build up around the nerve cells of Parkinson's patients can influence the nerves in the brain in a matter of weeks.
"We have discovered for the first time a biological link between the gut microbiome and Parkinson's disease," said lead researcher Sarkis Mazmanian from the Californian Institute of Technology (Caltech).
This research depicts the findings of Sampson et al., who show that signals from gut microbes are required for the neuroinflammatory responses as well as hallmark gastrointestinal and a-synuclein-dependent motor deficits in a model of Parkinson's disease.
Credit: Sampson et al./Cell 2016

PD is considered a multifactorial disease resulting from the effect of environmental factors and genetic susceptibility. Linking PD to an environmental cause, however, seems difficult. This is because of the long presymptomatic period

Despite the mysterious cause of PD, the pathologic and neurochemical basis of parkinsonian signs and symptoms have been in part unraveled as discussed earlier. Toxic insults could both modify the structure of -synuclein and interfere with the ubiquitin-proteasomal pathway, thus, promoting -synuclein aggregation and impairing the process of degradation of the abnormal protein [29].

Barlow et al. [30] found that even in utero exposure with subsequent genetic damage can be a risk factor for neurodegenerative diseases, for example, Alzheimer and PD. This can explain the finding of Tsai et al. [31] who described what he has called a young onset parkinsonian disease (YOPD) which is a peculiar group of patients developing PD before 40 years on contrary to normal age group of more than 50 years.

The reason for trying to identify toxic causes of PD (besides future protection) is the search for a perfect PD model. Scientists are trying to unravel the exact cause of PD; also we are trying to find out a perfect therapy and both the therapy and cause need a perfect model to act on. Finding a toxin that can be a true cause of PD would solve the problem.

So, what are those toxins that can be candidates for toxic PD models? Many have been described including the following.

Many risk factors have been implicated in PD. Since the discovery of MPTP, parkinsonian inducing effects this arouse the possibility of other similar compounds relevant to MPTP, for example, paraquat to induce PD [32]. Numerous classes of pesticides were introduced during the twentieth century. Although PD existed long before the introduction of these pesticides, the thought is that pesticide exposure has contributed to the increased incidence of the disease [33].

The fumigant class encompasses a variety of agents most commonly used to control insects or fungi in grains, soil, or other various consumables. Fumigants, such as ethylene dibromide, are highly toxic to humans but most adverse actions are nonneuronal [34]. Although there is some evidence that carbon disulfide-based fumigants can induce parkinsonian-like neurotoxicity [35]. This chemical class is not suitable for induction of PD in an animal model.

Fungicides are agents of a wide variety of chemical structures. Maneb, or manganese ethylene bis-dithiocarbamate, is one type with possible parkinsonian symptoms which may be secondary to exposure to the manganese metal core [33].
In fact, maneb is one of the toxins used to induce PD in animal models but usually in combination with other agents specially paraquat [36]. The maneb effect has been undoubtedly documented to increase the severity of PD models which make it one of the good candidates in PD research [37].

Herbicides (Paraquat)
The possibility that paraquat (1,1_-dimethyl-4,4_-bipyridinium) may damage the nigrostriatal dopaminergic system and therefore contribute to the neuropathology of Parkinson’s disease (PD) was first proposed in the mid 1980s following the observation that its chemical structure closely resembles that of MPP+(1-methyl-4-phenylpyridinium ion) [38].
Animal studies confirmed the ability of paraquat to induce selective dopaminergic nigrostriatal degeneration [39–41].
Li et al. [40] have developed subacute model for inducing PD in mice through using intraperitoneal injection of paraquat (10 mg/kg) in old C57/bl mice. Similar results were obtained 2 years later by Kuter et al. [41] using a similar approach.
As described earlier, an improvement in modeling of paraquat induced PD was through adding maneb. A combination which improved the results. It also supported the multiple hit theory of PD [42].
The presence of differences between paraquat and MPTP has been questioned and the answer would come from a group of articles in Toxicological Sciences journal regarding mechanism of paraquat toxicity. Richardson et al. [43] proposed that paraquat would have different mechanisms for toxicity than MPTP. Later, Ramachandiran et al. [44] have shown that paraquat and MPTP have divergent mechanisms of toxicity. Another hot debate emerged on the same journal regarding the possibility of different mechanisms of neurotoxicity between paraquat and MPTP [45–48].
Despite the debate, there are certainly toxicokinetic and toxicodynamic differences which would give paraquat a unique pattern of neurotoxicity. Despite the fact that paraquat models are still less validated than the previous well-established MPTP models [49], combining maneb with paraquat would introduce a promising modeling technique that can be (in our opinion) a better model specially with the limitation in the other available toxic models.

There are several subclasses of insecticides, each with their own subdivisions. Many of the compounds in this class are, by design, neurotoxic. Similarities between the insect and human nervous systems can lead to cross-toxicity of these compounds [33].

Parkinson's Disease Discovered

Parkinson's disease was first characterized extensively by an English doctor, James Parkinson, in 1817. Today, we understand Parkinson's disease to be a disorder of the central nervous system that results from the loss of cells in various parts of the brain, including a region called the substantia nigra. The substantia nigra cells produce dopamine, a chemical messenger responsible for transmitting signals within the brain that allow for coordination of movement. Loss of dopamine causes neurons to fire without normal control, leaving patients less able to direct or control their movement. Parkinson's disease is one of several diseases categorized by clinicians as movement disorders.
The exact cause of Parkinson's disease is unknown, although research points to a combination of genetic and environmental factors. If a continuum existed, with exclusively genetic causes at one end and exclusively environmental causes at the other, different Parkinson's patients would likely fall at many different places along that continuum.

Genetic Causes
In the past 10 years, researchers have identified a number of rare instances where Parkinson's disease appears to be caused by a single genetic mutation. In these cases, the mutated gene is passed from generation to generation, resulting in a great number of Parkinson's disease cases within an extended family. Mutations in the LRRK2 gene are the greatest genetic contributor to Parkinson's disease disovered to date.

Environmental Causes
On the opposite end of the continuum, in the early 1980s, a group of heroin users in California took drugs from a batch contaminated with a substance called MPTP. After ingesting this chemical, the drug users were stricken with a form of Parkinson's disease that was primarily, if not exclusively, "environmental" in origin.

A Combination of Both
For most Parkinson's patients, the cause lies somewhere in the middle. While many Parkinson's patients report one or more family members with the disease, it is not always clear that one or several genes are the cause. Similarly, while some patients suspect that exposure to one or another chemical or environmental toxin caused their Parkinson's disease, this also cannot be conclusively proved. Scientists currently believe that in the majority of cases, genetic and environmental factors interact to cause Parkinson's disease. Research into this subject continues aggressively every day. Unfortunately, however, it is generally impossible to determine what specifically caused an individual's Parkinson's disease.

Other Risk Factors
Because the causes of Parkinson's disease are unknown, there is no scientifically validated preventive course to reduce the risk of its onset. The single biggest risk factor for Parkinson's disease is advancing age. Men have a somewhat higher risk than women.
That being said, a number of studies have highlighted factors that are associated with either greater or lesser risk of Parkinson's disease. For example, smoking and caffeine consumption have been associated with lower rates of Parkinson's disease, while head injury and pesticide exposure have been associated with higher risk. While such studies do not definitively link these factors with Parkinson's disease one way or another, they highlight areas where further research may guide us to risk-prevention or treatment strategies.

What is drug-induced parkinsonism?
A small number of people with parkinsonism have developed their symptoms following treatment with particular medications. This form of parkinsonism is called ‘drug-induced parkinsonism’.
People with idiopathic Parkinson’s disease and other causes of parkinsonism may also develop worsening symptoms if treated with such medication inadvertently.

What drugs cause drug-induced parkinsonism?

Any drug that blocks the action of dopamine (referred to as a dopamine antagonist) is likely to cause parkinsonism. Drugs used to treat schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders such as behaviour disturbances in people with dementia, known asneuroleptic drugs, are possibly the major cause of drug-induced parkinsonism worldwide. Parkinsonism can occur from the use of any of the various classes of neuroleptics.
The atypical neuroleptics – clozapine (Clozaril) and quetiapine (Seroquel), and to a lesser extent olanzapine (Zyprexa) and risperidone (Risperdal) – appear to have a lower incidence of extrapyramidal side effects, including parkinsonism. These drugs are generally best avoided by people with Parkinson’s, although some may be used by specialists to treat symptoms such as hallucinations occurring with Parkinson’s.
For people with Parkinson’s, anti-sickness drugs such as domperidone (Motilium) or ondansetron (Zofran) are the drugs of choice for nausea and vomiting.
As well as neuroleptics, some other drugs can cause drug-induced parkinsonism. These include some medications for dizziness and nausea such as prochlorperazine (Stemetil); and metoclopromide (Maxalon), which is used to stop sickness and in the treatment of indigestion.
Calcium channel blocking drugs used to treat high blood pressure, abnormal heart rhythm, angina pectoris, panic attacks, manic depression and migraine may occasionally cause drug-induced parkinsonism. Calcium channel blocking drugs are, however, widely used to treat angina and high blood pressure, and it is important to note that most common agents in clinical use probably do not have this side effect. These drugs should never be stopped abruptly without discussion with your doctor.
A number of other agents have been reported to cause drug-induced parkinsonism, but clear proof of cause and effect is often lacking. Amiodarone, used to treat heart problems, causes tremor and some people have been reported to develop Parkinson’s-like symptoms. Sodium valproate, used to treat epilepsy, and lithium, used in depression, both commonly cause tremor which may be mistaken for Parkinson’s.

What are the characteristics of drug-induced
parkinsonism and how does it differ from idiopathic Parkinson’s?

Drug-induced parkinsonism is more likely to be symmetrical (on both sides of the body) and less likely to be associated with tremor, although it can sometimes present asymmetrically and with a tremor. Akinesia with loss of arm swing can be the earliest feature. Bradykinesia can be an early common symptom, causing expressionless face, slow initiation of movement and speech difficulties.

If the offending drug is stopped, will the drug-induced parkinsonism improve and if so, how long will this take?
Generally, the majority of people will recover within two months, and often within hours or days, of stopping the offending drug. However, some people may take as long as two years.

Pesticides and herbicides like glyphosate now strongly linked to Parkinson's disease and other neurological disorders

Pesticides and herbicides are destroying the body's natural relationship
This dilemma is born out of mankind's desire to control and manipulate nature by taking chemical shortcuts with agriculture and food production. When will we begin to understand that the myriad of chemicals we develop, spray, breathe, eat and inject into our bodies, is interfering with the natural, healthy relationship between our organ systems? Independent scientists are now beginning to understand that the mechanism that the herbicide glyphosate uses to destroy plants, is the same mechanism that kills the good microbes in the human gut. It's these good microbes that assist in the proper absorption of nutrients, elimination of waste, detoxification of impurities, and protection of the gut lining and blood. Without a strong microbiome, the human body is slow to initiate immune responses to pathogenic stressors.

Genes are being damaged at a young age as infants are inundated with chemicals
Infants are being introduced to pesticides and herbicides at such a young age, exposed through hospital feeding tubes and corn syrup formulas. The burden of chemicals is much more devastating on small, developing bodies which are typically 1/30th the weight of a grown adult. Additionally, the rate at which infants are being injected with vaccine aluminum, antibiotics, formaldehyde, MSG, animal and human body cell lines, and in some cases mercury, suggests that their healthy genes may never see normal conditions to express their innate, healthy disposition.

As these chemicals break down the lining of the gut and deplete the body's intelligent microbiology, the blood is easily infiltrated, allowing chemicals to circulate through the entire system, taxing filtration systems like kidneys, gall bladder, liver and skin. If the body is exposed for long enough, the pesticides, heavy metals and other chemicals may even circulate to the brain, causing neuron cell death and interfering with hormones and mental homeostasis.

Strong links between pesticides, herbicides and Parkinson's

Pesticides and herbicides are sprayed so carelessly today, infiltrating both the chemistry of the food and the air we breathe. Distressingly, farmers are often told to spray cancer-causing glyphosate on a barren field, post-harvest, just to make sure no weeds will grow through the winter. It's so sad.

From the Division of Cancer Epidemiology and Genetics at the National Cancer Institute, researchers found that chronic pesticide exposure is linked directly to Parkinson's disease. Parkinson's represents a cluster of health problems originating in the central nervous system, and is signified by motor function decline, twitching in the extremities, cognitive deficits, and potentially, full-blown dementia.

In May 2013, the American Academy of Neurology (AAN) published results on over 100 studies from around the world, showing that increased exposure to pesticides, herbicides and solvents is "likely associated with a higher risk of developing Parkinson's disease." Farmers that work directly with these chemicals suffer the most from neurological disorders, especially Parkinson's. Pesticide exposure in rural areas was directly linked to a two-fold increased risk of developing Parkinson's.

In a 2011 study led by researchers at the University of California Los Angeles's School of Public Health, simple, routine home-and-garden pesticide exposure resulted in a three times increased risk of Parkinson's. In a meta-analysis, 17 out of 19 studies showed that increased duration of exposure to pesticide and herbicide chemicals was directly linked with increased risk of Parkinson's.

The human body is not strengthened when exposed to industrial chemicals; exposure to pesticides does not make the body tougher. This onslaught of chemicals on the lawn, on our food crops and in the home, is slowly, silently weakening us. The damage is observed and felt all the way down to the hormonal, microbial and genetic level, destroying the body's natural harmony with and within its environment.

Toxic Causes of Parkinson’s Disease

A small proportion of cases have a toxic cause as the sole or a partial cause of Parkinson's Disease. The toxic exposure usually has to be acute or chronic. Symptoms normally develop when the toxic exposure occurs or soon after, or gradually increase over time when the exposure persists. Symptoms do not develop years later as is sometimes claimed. Avoidance of the source of toxicity can lead, in most cases, to a reduction in the symptoms but with some toxins this can take years.

Annonaceae is a family of flowering plants that is also called the custard apple family. Some annonaceae species produce edible fruits. Annonaceae contain acetogenins. In Guadeloupe, Annonaceae are consumed as herbal teas and fruits, especially soursop. Annonacin, which is the most abundant acetogenin, is toxic to dopaminergic neurons in nanomolar concentrations. Acetogenins are potent mitochondrial toxins, like other Parkinsonism inducing compounds. The concentrations of annonacin, the major acetogenin in Annona Muricata, are so high that one fruit or can of nectar per day is more in a year than induced brain lesions in rats receiving purified annonacin by intravenous infusion.

Carbon disulfide is a colourless, flammable, and poisonous liquid with the chemical formula CS2. Carbon disulfide is in pesticides used as fumigants, disulfiram, which is a drug used in the treatment of chronic alcoholism, industrial solvents, and solvents used in the production of viscose rayon and cellophane film. Carbon disulfide interferes with the enzyme pyridoxal 5-phosphate, which is essential for the formation of dopamine from L-dopa. So carbon disulfide might cause Parkinson's Disease symptoms by reducing the formation of L-dopa.

Carbon monoxide is a colourless, odourless, and tasteless gas that is slightly less dense than air. Carbon monoxide is produced from the partial oxidation of carbon containing compounds when there is not enough oxygen to produce carbon dioxide. Common sources are motor vehicle exhaust fumes, and cigarette smoke. It also forms when fuels such as coal, paraffin, oil or wood, and especially natural gas, do not burn completely in appliances such as heaters, furnaces, stoves, water heaters, and ovens. However, carbon monoxide rarely causes Parkinson's Disease. It normally requires the person having gone in to a coma as a result of the carbon monoxide poisoning before symptoms of Parkinson's Disease develop.

Copper, whose chemical symbol is Cu, is a chemical element that is required as an essential nutrient, but which can be toxic in large quantities. Common causes of copper toxicity include Wilson's Disease in which there is a genetic accumulation of copper, copper mines, copper cooking pots, copper plumbing, extreme consumption of nutritional supplements that contain copper. Excessive copper can cause the formation of a copper-dopamine complex, which leads to the oxidation of dopamine to aminochrome.

Cyanide is contained in drugs such as potassium cyanide and sodium cyanide. Cyanides can also be produced by certain bacteria, fungi, and algae, and are found in a number of foods and plants. Cyanide occurs naturally in cassava roots (manioc). Fruits that have a pit, such as cherries or apricots, often contain either cyanides or cyanogenic glycosides in the pit. Bitter almonds, from which almond oil and flavouring is made, also contain cyanide. Hydrogen cyanide is contained in vehicle exhaust and in tobacco smoke. The smoke of burning plastics contains hydrogen cyanide, and so house fires often result in cyanide poisonings. Cyanides are one of the very few soluble compounds of gold and thus are used in electroplating, gold mining, metallurgy and jewellery for chemical gilding, buffing, and extraction of gold. Cyanides and hydrogen cyanide are used in the production of chemicals, photographic development, making plastics, fumigating ships, and some mining processes. Potassium ferrocyanide is used to achieve a blue colour on cast bronze sculptures.

Cycad seeds of the Cycas micronesica contain ss-methylamino-L-alanine (BMAA), which have been implicated as the cause of toxicity due to the involvement of a product of BMAA and a beta-carbamate. Cycad seeds, by different means, can cause Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and Parkinsonism-dementia complex (PDC). This occurs in Guam, which is in the Mariana islands in the Pacific Ocean, the Kii peninsula of Japan, and New Guinea, which is divided between Indonesia and Papua New Guinea.

Dieldrin is used as a pesticide. Dieldrin was the most frequently detected Organochlorine pesticide in people with Parkinson's Disease thereby suggesting that dieldrin may be associated with Parkinson's Disease. Dieldrin levels were above normal in brains of people with Parkinson's Disease. Dieldrin adversely affects cellular processes associated with Parkinson's Disease including mitochondrial function and reactive oxygen species production. Dieldrin showed inhibitory effects on proteasome activities at low concentrations. Dieldrin induces apoptosis in dopaminergic neurons via caspase-3-dependent proteolytic activation of protein kinase C delta.

Hydrocarbons are organic compounds consisting entirely of hydrogen and carbon. Common sources are : hydrocarbon poisoning such as that of benzene and petroleum usually occurs accidentally by their inhalation or ingestion. Sources of hydrocarbons include : natural gas, cooking gas, petrol, gasoline. People that have been subjected to exposure to petroleum products, especially when working with petroleum products, increase the likelihood of developing Parkinson's Disease. Working in a gas station (petrol station) increased the risk of Parkinson's Disease by 2.6 times.

Lead is a chemical element that is toxic in humans. Common sources are : lead contaminated soil, ingestion of lead dust or chips from deteriorating lead-based paints, air pollution from the processing of lead, food grown in contaminated soil, drinking water from plumbing and fixtures that are either made of lead or have trace amounts of lead in them. Lead can also be found in cosmetics in some countries, some herbal remedies, and in toys such as many from China. Serious and chronic exposure to lead can more than double the likelihood of developing Parkinson's Disease. Milder exposure to lead did not increase the likelihood of Parkinson's Disease.

The main active element of Maneb is manganese ethylene-bis-dithiocarbamate. Maneb is used as a fungicide. There is a greatly increased likelihood of developing symptoms by people involved in horticulture and agriculture. As Maneb contains manganese it is possible that it causes Parkinson's Disease symptoms via the same means as manganese, which is by inhibiting tyrosine hydroxylation. Tyrosine hydroxylation is essential for the formation of dopamine. It would thereby lower dopamine levels. The effects of Maneb are potentiated when there is simultaneous exposure to the pesticide Paraquat.

Manganese is a chemical element that is required as a nutrient but can be toxic in large quantities. Occupational exposures occur in welding, when highly exposed, miining as miners are surrounded by manganese dust and airborne manganese particles, alloy production, processing, ferro-manganese operations especially in which manganese ore or manganese compounds are turned into steel, and work with agrochemicals. Areas surrounding manganese heavy industry could also become affected by exposure to manganese. It could occur with very excessive use of manganese supplements. Manganese can cause Manganism, which is a medical disorder that is virtually no different in its symptoms from Parkinson's Disease.

Mercury is a chemical element that is toxic in humans. Common sources are : dietary fish intake, ethnic over-the-counter medications, occupational exposures to mercury vapour, possession of dental amalgam fillings, gold production, skin ointment, and some soaps. One of the chief means of toxicity is via the enzyme pyruvate dehydrogenase (PDH), which is irreversibly inhibited by several mercury compounds. However, the cause of the symptoms of Parkinson's Disease is likely to be due to the fact that mercury potently causes the release of dopamine, thereby lowering dopamine levels.

MPTP (1-methyl 4-phenyl 1,2,3,6-tetrahydropyridine) is a chemical that may be produced accidentally during illicit manufacture of the recreational drug MPPP, which is a synthetic heroin substitute. The most common source is the recreational drug MPPP (Desmethylprodine). It was also developed but unused as a herbicide. It is also an industrial toxin. MPTP inhibits tyrosine hydroxylation, which is essential for the formation of dopamine. So MPTP causes Parkinson's Disease by lowering dopamine levels.

N-Hexane is an alkane. Most of the n-hexane used in industry is mixed with solvents. The major use for solvents containing n-hexane is to extract vegetable oils from crops such as soybeans. These solvents are also used as cleaning agents in the printing, textile, furniture, and shoemaking industries. It is also used by chemists. Certain glues used in the roofing and shoe and leather industries also contain n-hexane. Several consumer products contain n-hexane, such as gasoline, spot removers, quick-drying glues used in various hobbies, and rubber cement.

Nitrogen dioxide is an intermediate in the industrial synthesis of nitric acid, millions of tons of which are produced each year. At higher temperatures it is a reddish-brown gas that has a characteristic sharp, biting odour and is a prominent air pollutant. Exposure of nitrogen dioxide to tyrosine hydroxylase results in the nitration of its tyrosine residues. High exposure to nitrogen dioxide, largely because of pollution, trebled the risk of Parkinson's Disease. Lower exposures did not significantly increase the risk.

Octenol, which is commonly known as mushroom alcohol, is produced by several plants and fungi. Octenol can often be inhaled by humans after being produced in damp, mouldy or water damaged buildings. Octenol interferes with two genes involved in the creation of dopamine : the human plasma membrane dopamine transporter (DAT) and the human VMAT ortholog (VMAT2). This demonstrates that 1-octen-3-ol exerts toxicity via disruption of dopamine homeostasis.

Organophosphorous pesticides are used primarily in pest control as alternatives to chlorinated hydrocarbons that can persist in the environment. Organophosphorous pesticides are used in agriculture. Organophosphorus chemicals have also been used as active ingredients in household pesticides for several decades. Organophosphorus pesticides are significantly associated with Parkinson's Disease. The frequent use of household pesticides that contain organophosphorus chemicals increased the chances of developing Parkinson's Disease by 71% .

Paraquat is used as a herbicide. There is a greatly increased likelihood of developing symptoms by people involved in horticulture and agriculture. People with Parkinson's Disease are more than twice as likely to report heavy exposure to pesticides over their lifetime as family members without Parkinson's Disease. Those people affected were usually those who used a lot of pesticides in their homes and in their hobbies rather than those who routinely used pesticides for their occupation. Pesticides are also known to affect well water. However, it is claimed that Paraquat only potentiates the effect of Maneb, and that it has no effect on humans on its own.

Rotenone is used as an insecticide. There is a greatly increased likelihood of developing symptoms by people involved in horticulture and agriculture. People with Parkinson's Disease are more than twice as likely to report heavy exposure to pesticides over their lifetime as family members without Parkinson's Disease. Those affected were usually those who used a lot of pesticides in their homes, rather than those who routinely used pesticides for their occupation. Insecticides are also known to affect well water. Rotenone is commonly used to treat parasitic mites on chickens and other fowl, and so can be found in poultry. Rotenone inhibits tyrosine hydroxylation, which is essential for the formation of dopamine.

Toluene is used as an octane booster in fuel, as a solvent in paints, paint thinners, chemical reactions, rubber, printing, adhesives, lacquers, leather tanning, disinfectants, producing phenol and TNT. Toluene is also used as a raw material for toluene diisocyanate, which is used in the manufacture of polyurethane foams. Toluene is also used in the manufacture of dyes. Dyes are highly associated with the symptoms of Parkinson's Disease. The means of toxicity is unknown. Toluene has been shown to cause Parkinson's Disease or has been associated with people with Parkinson's Disease.

Trichloroethylene is a solvent with a sweet smell that is a clear non-flammable liquid. Trichloroethylene is a solvent that is used in industry and the military and is a common environmental contaminant. It has been used to extract vegetable oils, in coffee decaffeination, and the preparation of flavouring extracts from hops and spices. The means of toxicity is unknown. Workers with workstations adjacent to the source of trichloroethylene and who were subjected to chronic inhalation and dermal exposure from handling trichloroethylene-soaked metal parts all had Parkinson's Disease.

Perhaps everyone has aluminum foil in their kitchens, by the BBQ, or taken with us to the camp site to use on the fire or afterwards to store our cooked food. It has so many uses.
However when it comes to using aluminum in food preparation and storage, what has science informed us? Aluminum foil is safe when used cold, like wrapping a sandwich for the fridge; however, using it hot, or even warm, the foil is degraded and SEEPS into the food.

When hot or heated, the levels of aluminum that leak into the food are considerably higher if the food actually touches the foil, if seasonings are added, or if the food is acidic. The hotter the foil is heated, the more seepage occurs. This result occurs no matter which side of the foil is next to the food.

Aluminum impedes with the digestion of calcium, phosphorus, and fluoride, which can even result in osteoporosis. It harms the kidneys and impairs the liver. It is linked to neurodegenerative diseases like Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s. It can lead to sleep disturbance, and speech problems.
There are lots of sources of aluminum in our day to day lives; antacids, vaccines, antiperspirants, even drinking water. So we’re already getting a heavy dose of aluminum. Cooking in aluminum foil or aluminum pans increase exposure.

Four most dangerous toxins to the brain (Fluoride #1)
Posted on by Dr. Sharp
(NaturalNews) A healthy mind is a terrible thing to lose, but due to man-made chemicals, the threat of brain function destruction is always present. These are potentially the most offensive perpetrators to the mind, but the good news is that there are easy ways to avoid them.

The decision to add fluoride to most public drinking water systems as a way to fight tooth decay has perhaps had the most insidious and widespread effect on the brains of people across North America.
The Fluoride Action Network (FAN) has reported on a study which found that fluoride is linked to lower IQ, even at the ranges added to U.S. water supplies. In all, FAN said that 34 studies now link fluoride to lower IQ levels in humans, while many other studies link fluoride to learning and memory impairment, fetal brain damage and altered neurobehavioral function.
One study sponsored by UNICEF found that IQ was reduced at just 0.88 mg/l of fluoride, a level that is considered within optimal range and is added to U.S. drinking water systems that serve over 200 million Americans every day.
Removing fluoride from your water supply is often as simple as installing a high-quality water filter.

Heavy metals
Heavy metals are especially sinister toxins that are not easily removed but are commonplace in the bodies and brains of millions thanks to vaccines, dental procedures, agricultural chemicals, industrial pollution, fish, chicken and more.
Those most susceptible to traumatic brain damage due to mercury are newborn babies who have yet to properly develop their blood-brain barrier and are generally subjected to an intense vaccination schedule that injects mercury directly into their body. In babies with a genetic susceptibility, such as a defect in enzymes responsible for detoxifying heavy metals, prenatal and early postnatal exposure to mercury leads to neurological damage resulting in autistic symptoms.
Robert Nash, M.D., also suggests that the toxic effects of mercury can cause a broad spectrum of brain-related diseases including autism, Alzheimer’s, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease and neurodevelopmental diseases.
To ensure that you don’t endure any future heavy metal poisoning, avoid the flu shot, mercury fillings and chemicals, and take safety precautions when consuming seafood.
Artificial sweeteners
The desire for zero-calorie sweeteners produced the advent of artificial sweeteners, and the negative effects on the brain have been well documented. They are found in sodas, yogurt, chewing gum, cooking sauces, tabletop sweeteners, flavored water, cereals and sugar-free products.
Aspartame is a combination of chemicals, namely aspartic acid (an amino acid with excitatory effects on brain cells), methanol and phenylalanine, and scientists are placing it at the higher end of the range of what is considered toxic. When aspartame breaks down, it produces a compound that is a powerful brain-tumor-causing chemical.
Ninety different symptoms have been documented as a result of aspartame consumption, including anxiety attacks, slurred speech, depression and migraines.
Avoid artificial sweeteners by reading ingredients and avoiding the products above. The FDA also recently approved of calling aspartame AminoSweet, so beware of that ingredient as well.
Monosodium glutamate (MSG)
MSG is a form of concentrated salt added to foods to enhance flavor. It was first used in military rations to give them a better taste, but it was soon adopted by the entire food industry.
Dr. Blaylock, a noted neurosurgeon and authority on excitotoxins such as MSG, discovered that there was silent damage to the brain, and over time he saw destruction of major portions of the brain that could cause Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s and other brain ailments.
The best way to avoid it is to stop eating processed food, or look for it in the ingredients, mainly as monosodium glutamate or yeast extract.

Toxins, Toxins, Toxins seem to be the main cause if not “the” cause of Parkinson’s Dis-ease.
Whether the toxin comes from a pesticide, a vaccine, aluminum foil , artificial sweeteners, MSG or medications, we find ourselves looking at “toxins” again as the cause of this avoidable dis-ease! Lies about Cholesterol we believe as facts!

How many of you believe there are “good” and “bad” cholesterol? How many of you believe that cholesterol clogs arteries? How many of you believe you need to keep your cholesterol under 200? How many of you believe that you should not eat eggs or saturated fats? How many of you have heard that too much Cholesterol will kill you?

We have we been “kept in the dark” about what Cholesterol is and its importance in the body. Again, let’s look at what cholesterol does in the body and you decide if it is a “problem” or not. Also, let’s see what the physiology of the human body in regard to how vital cholesterol is. Your body needs around 3000 mg of cholesterol a day to be used in the following ways:
1. It is the body’s repair substance. No cholesterol -no repair!
2. It is needed in production of: testosterone,
estrogen and progesterone.
No cholesterol- no sex hormones!

3. It is the precursor to vitamin D. No cholesterol -no Vitamin d production!
4. The bile salts that are required in the digestion of fat are made of cholesterol. No cholesterol- no digestion, no absorption!
5. It is a powerful antioxidant. No cholesterol-no antioxidants which eliminate free radicals!
6. It protects us against cancer and aging. No cholesterol -no protection against aging and cancer!
7. It is vital to proper neurological function. No cholesterol -no nerve protection and connection!
8. It plays a key role in the formation of memory and the uptake of hormones in the brain. No cholesterol -no memory!
9. It allows serotonin receptors to work. It carries signals along and between nerves - a neurotransmitter. It is mainly found in the brain, bowels and blood platelets.
No cholesterol- no nerve connection!

10. It builds cell membranes. No cholesterol- no cells!
11. Cholesterol makes up 25% of the brain. No cholesterol- 25% of brain gone!
Note: Cholesterol is abundant in the tissue of the brain and nervous system. Myelin, which covers nerve axons to help conduct the electrical impulses that
make movement, sensation, thinking, learning, and remembering possible, is over one fifth cholesterol by weight.
12. It “patches”, as LDL, veins and arteries. Why? The arteries collapse during the off- beat of the heart! If brittle they crack. Cholesterol is sent to patch, to not bleed. Culprit in the cracking of the arteries; aluminum and fluoride, really the same things. No cholesterol -no repairing of damaged arteries!
13. It is so valuable its recycled and used elsewhere. No cholesterol -nothing to recycle!

With an estimated, 1 in 4 Americans over the age of 45 on statin drugs such as: Lipitor, Crestor and Zocor to name a few, we should really look at what Cholesterol is and what it does in the body.
The Liver produces about most of the daily cholesterol needed but not all. The rest comes from diet. Even though your body makes ¾ of its own cholesterol, it needs the ingredients to do it, right? Vegetables (as well as fruits, nuts and whole grains) do not contain cholesterol. For a food item to have dietary cholesterol, it would need to come from an animal or contain a product from an animal. Only the cell membranes of animal tissue contain cholesterol. Cell membranes of plants are composed of fiber, not cholesterol. When you see “no cholesterol” on a package of fruit, vegetables, grains, or even vegetable oil, don’t believe that the manufacturer has done you a favor by removing the cholesterol. There was no cholesterol in these foods to begin with. Cholesterol is produced in the liver by combining fats, proteins and carbohydrates in a 25-step process.
So, you really don’t want a “No cholesterol” diet! High cholesterol is actually, healthier! Besides the liver producing cholesterol, the very best way to receive cholesterol into the body is to eat it. Now, if you only eat fruits and vegetables, nuts and grains then you are receiving “0” cholesterol, right? We can get some fats and proteins from these foods but one needs a lot compared to meats and dairy. Also, these foods have the most saturated fats and highest in proteins which are two of the building blocks of cholesterol.
Note: Children deprived of cholesterol in infancy
may end up with poor eyesight and brain function
. Manufacturers of infant formulas are aware of this fact, but following the anti-cholesterol dogma, they produce formulas with virtually no
cholesterol in them. Mothers milk is high in cholesterol!

Top Cholesterol Myths People Believe
Myth: Cholesterol Is Bad
Cholesterol is not inherently bad. If it were, your liver wouldn't produce it (unbeknownst to many, your liver makes about three-quarters or more of your body's cholesterol—that's how important it is).
Many of the healthiest foods happen to be rich in cholesterol (and saturated fats), yet cholesterol has been demonized since the early 1950s following the popularization of Ancel Keys' flawed research.
In reality, cholesterol has many health benefits. It plays a key role in regulating protein pathways involved in cell signaling and may also regulate other cellular processes,2 for instance.
It's already known that cholesterol plays a critical role within your cell membranes, but research suggests cholesterol also interacts with proteins inside your cells, adding even more importance. Your body is composed of trillions of cells that need to interact with each other.
Cholesterol is one of the molecules that allow for these interactions to take place. For example, cholesterol is the precursor to bile acids, so without sufficient amounts of cholesterol, your digestive system can be adversely affected.
It also plays an essential role in your brain, which contains about 25 percent of the cholesterol in your body. It is critical for synapse formation, i.e. the connections between your neurons, which allow you to think, learn new things, and form memories.

Myth: High Cholesterol Is Caused by What You Eat
This is simply untrue. The biggest factor in cholesterol is not diet but genetics or heredity. Your liver is designed to remove excess cholesterol from your body, but genetics play a large part in your liver's ability to regulate cholesterol to a healthy level.
Take, for instance, people with genetic familial
hypercholesterolemia. This is a condition characterized by abnormally high cholesterol, which tends to be resistant to
lowering with lifestyle strategies like diet and exercise.

Further, eating nutritious cholesterol-rich foods is not something you should feel guilty about; they're good for you and will not drive up your cholesterol levels as you may have been told.
It's estimated that only 20 percent of your blood cholesterol levels come from your diet.

One survey of South Carolina adults found no correlation of blood cholesterol levels with so-called "bad" dietary habits, such as consumption of red meat, animal fats, butter, eggs, whole milk, bacon, sausage and cheese.
If you're still worried about the cholesterol in your diet, take a
ook at the newly released 2015 U.S. Dietary Guidelines. As
recently as 2010, U.S. dietary guidelines described cholesterol-
rich foods as "foods and food components to reduce."

They advised people to eat less than 300 milligrams (mg) per day, despite mounting evidence that dietary cholesterol has very little to do with cholesterol levels in your body.
The latest guidelines have finally removed this misguided suggestion, and they even added egg yolks to the list of suggested sources of protein.
The long-overdue change came at the advice of the Dietary Guidelines Advisory Committee (DGAC), which acknowledged what the science shows, which is that "cholesterol is not considered a nutrient of concern for overconsumption."5

Myth: Everyone's Cholesterol Level Should Be the Same
What is a healthy cholesterol level? That depends. Despite what your doctor may tell you, there's no rule that says everyone's total cholesterol should be less than 200 milligrams per deciliter
(mg/dL) and your LDL less than 100 mg/dL.

Myth: Margarine Is Better Than Butter for Cholesterol

Butter, especially raw organic butter from grass-fed cows, is a wealth of nutrition and nourishing fats. Research points to the fact that butter may have both short-term and long-term benefits for your health. A Swedish study found that fat levels in your blood are lower after eating a meal rich in butter than after eating one rich in olive oil, canola oil, or flaxseed oil.6

Further, replacing saturated animal fats with omega-6
polyunsaturated vegetable fats (i.e., margarine) is linked to an increased risk of death among patients with heart disease,
according to a 2013 BMJ study.7 Swapping margarine for healthy butter is the opposite of what your body needs for heart health, and here's why. Saturated fats have been shown to raise HDL cholesterol—a benefit—and may also increase LDL.

The latter isn't necessarily bad either, as research has confirmed that eating saturated fats raises levels of large, fluffy LDL particles—the type that do not contribute to heart disease.
Further, eating saturated fat may even change the small, dense LDL in your body into the healthier large, fluffy LDL!8,9

On the other hand, margarine has historically contained synthetic trans fat, the worst type of man-made fat that increases small, dense LDL—and your risk of chronic disease.

There have been many studies that prove the low fat, low Cholesterol and high carb diet, which includes fruits and
vegetables have been the cause of heart disease not
Cholesterol. The profits that have been gained by the medical and pharmaceutical industries from Cholesterol hindering drugs has kept the truth about the body’s need and dependence for Cholesterol silenced from the media and therefore the public in general.

You got your blood test results back and you found out your cholesterol level is 300! You panic and listen fearfully to your doctor telling you how the “bad” LDL cholesterol needs to be lowered immediately! Medication? You are hesitating, since you’ve heard about statin’s negative effects on your health like heart and liver problems, memory loss…Maybe you better stop eating eggs and saturated fat and then it will all be good…? Maybe you’d consider a cholesterol lowering supplement as well…

Reality is that this scenario has got to STOP! After all, it’s about YOUR HEALTH. It shouldn’t be about the doctor, the processed food industry and the pharmaceutical company! Cholesterol numbers tell a different story than the one you’ve probably heard from your doctor. Here are the most important facts to know when you have high cholesterol:
” The question is, why do some people have more cholesterol in their blood than others, and why can the same person have different levels of cholesterol at different times of the day? Why is our level of cholesterol different in different seasons of the year? In winter, it goes up and in the summer it goes down. Why is it that blood cholesterol goes through the roof in people after any surgery? Why does blood cholesterol go up when we have an infection? Why does it go up after dental treatment? Why does it go up when we are under stress? And why does it become normal when we are relaxed and feel well? The answer to all these questions is this: cholesterol is a healing agent in the body.”

(Natasha Campbell–McBride)

What Are the Inflammation Sources In The Body?

When there is a high level of oxidation present in the body, there also tends to be free radical activity in the tissues. LDL oxidizes in the body due to consuming artificial, partially hydrogenated oils (trans fats), vegetable oils, genetically modified food, a diet high in refined sugars, alcohol and tobacco. Damaged cholesterol is found in powdered eggs, in powdered milk (added to reduced-fat milks to give them body) and in meats and fats that have been heated to high temperatures in frying and other high-temperature

Elevated levels of LDL also may be caused by chemical and heavy metal toxicity, liver toxicity and stress, hypothyroidism and kidney failure.

“Bad” and “Good” Cholesterol? No Such Thing!

LDL (low density lipo-protein) is the “carrier” of cholesterol, sending out cholesterol to various parts of the body where needed. HDL (high density lipo protein) takes cholesterol back to the liver. LDL and HDL are neither “good” or “bad”, they are just cholesterol.

However, once the pharmaceutical companies realized they could easily produce a drug to lower blood cholesterol (and so make huge profits) they simply bought and paid for the “science” to “prove” their theories. This way, the “good and bad” cholesterol scam was born and continuously fed with heavy marketing campaigns over the years.

Low levels of HDL reflect a sedentary lifestyle. Doctors and others who push the misinformation about raising HDL as being a good thing, fail to address that HDL levels greater than 75 are actually correlative with autoimmune processes. This is a strong possibility especially if triglyceride levels are low (less than 40). Excess consumption of alcohol, drug use, hypothyroidism, and excess estrogen can also cause HDL levels to become too high.

Cholesterol Numbers and Their Meaning

High serum cholesterol says nothing about how much cholesterol is in the tissues. As people begin to heal and correct their
metabolic imbalances, the blood cholesterol may go up,
because it’s leaving the tissues!
Most people, including
doctors, feel they need to immediately take action on “righting” the “numbers”, when they look at these “snap-shots” of a moving
picture in the body.

Different Biochemistries, Different Metabolisms, Different
Cholesterol Numbers

The “cholesterol scam” initiated by the pharmaceutical companies ingrained the idea that a total cholesterol number of 200 needs immediate “action”: either a drug or/ and no saturated fat and cholesterol rich foods.

Not only is a total cholesterol value greater than 200 not
necessarily high, for many people it is normal and very
important! Protein types as defined by the Health Excel System of Metabolic Typing often have values greater than 200 while being very healthy. These types thrive on a higher ratio of saturated fat and cholesterol containing foods.

Nearly 60 percent of Americans — the highest ever — are
taking prescription drugs Nov. 2015
. Nearly 3 in 5 American
adults take a prescription drug, up markedly since 2000 because of much higher use of almost every type of medication, including antidepressants and treatments for high cholesterol and diabetes.

In a study published Tuesday in the Journal of the American Medical Association, researchers found that the prevalence of prescription drug use among people 20 and older had risen to 59 percent in 2012 from 51 percent just a dozen years earlier. During the same period, the percentage of people taking five or more prescription drugs nearly doubled, to 15 percent from 8 percent. Source:
Here is the graph I am talking about the percentage of Americans taking a statin drug

The statins include atorvastatin (sold as Lipitor), rosuvastatin (sold as Crestor), and simvastatin (sold as
Zocor but also available as generic ).

Many Americans take statins. No surprise there. But half of men, ages to 65 to 74, and 39% of women, ages 75 and older—that’s pretty stunning.

Combine the 45+ age groups and both genders, and it comes out that one in four Americans, ages 45 and older, are taking a statin. There are roughly 127 million Americans over age 45. Presuming that there hasn’t been a big drop off in use since 2005-2008 (the latest period for the government health survey upon which these statistics are based) almost 32 million Americans take a statin. That’s the equivalent of the entire populations of Florida and Illinois combined.

5 Reasons Why You Should Not Take Statins
1. They Don't Work
Statin drugs work to lower cholesterol, and as your levels fall, you may assume that is proof that you're getting healthier and lowering your risk of heart disease and heart attack. But that would be far from the truth. There is far more that goes into your risk of heart disease than your cholesterol levels. Further, there is evidence showing that statins may actually, make your heart health worse and only appear effective due to statistical deception.

2. Statins Reduce CoQ10
Statins deplete your body of coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10), which accounts for many of their devastating results. Although it was proposed to add a black box warning to statins stating this, the U.S. Food and Drug
Administration (FDA) decided against it in 2014. CoQ10 is used for energy production by every cell in your body, and is therefore vital for good health, high energy levels, longevity, and general quality of life. CoQ10's reduced form, ubiquinol, is a critical component of cellular respiration and production of adenosine triphosphate (ATP). ATP is a coenzyme used as an energy carrier in
every cell of your body.

3. Statins Reduce Vitamin K2

A new finding was published in March 2015, and it is not yet widely known. Research published in Expert Review of Clinical Pharmacology revealed that, in contrast to the current belief that cholesterol reduction with statins
decreases atherosclerosis, the drugs may instead
actually stimulate atherosclerosis and heart failure.
Statin drugs inhibit the function of vitamin K2 in your
body, which means taking them may put you at risk of vitamin K2 deficiency, a condition known to contribute to a number of chronic diseases, including: Osteoporosis, Heart disease, heart attack, stroke, inappropriate
calcification, Brain diseases and cancers.

4. Statins Reduce Ketone Production

Statins lower cholesterol by inhibiting the enzyme in your liver that produces cholesterol (HMG coenzyme A reductase). Unfortunately, this is the same enzyme that produces not only CoQ10 but also ketones, which are crucial nutrients to feed your mitochondria.

5. Increased Risk of Serious Diseases

Because statins deplete your body of CoQ10, inhibit synthesis of vitamin K2, and reduce the production of ketone bodies, they increase your risk of other serious diseases. This includes:

Research has shown that long-term statin use (10 years or longer) more than doubles women's risk of two major types of breast cancer: invasive ductal carcinoma and invasive lobular carcinoma. According to Dr. Sinatra, statins block the squalene pathway (squalene is the precursor to cholesterol), which he believes is essential in preventing breast cancer.

Statins have also been shown to increase your risk of diabetes via a number of different mechanisms. The most important one is that they increase insulin resistance, which can be extremely harmful to your health. Secondly, statins increase your diabetes risk by raising your blood sugar. Statins work by preventing your liver from making cholesterol. As a result, your liver returns the sugar to your bloodstream, which raises your blood sugar levels. These drugs also rob your body of certain valuable nutrients, which can also impact your blood sugar levels. Two nutrients in particular, vitamin D and CoQ10, are both needed to maintain ideal blood glucose levels. A 2011 meta-analysis confirmed the higher the dosage of statin drugs being taken, the greater the diabetes risk.

Neurodegenerative Diseases

Cholesterol is also essential for your brain, which contains about 25 percent of the cholesterol in your body. It is critical for synapse formation, i.e. the connections between your neurons, which allow you to think, learn new things, and form memories. So perhaps it's not surprising that memory loss is widely reported in association with statin use.

Musculoskeletal Disorders

Statin users are more likely to suffer from
musculoskeletal conditions, injuries and pain than non-
users. Myalgia, muscle weakness, muscle cramps,
rhabdomyolysis, autoimmune muscle disease, and
tendinous diseases have all been reported in
association with statin use. One reason for this may be
statins' interference with selenium-containing proteins. Seleno-proteins such as glutathione peroxidase are crucial for preventing oxidative damage in your muscle tissue.

An objective review of PubMed, EMBASE, and
Cochrane review databases found that for every 10,000 people taking a statin, there were 307 extra patients with cataracts.20 This was supported by a separate JAMA study, which further revealed that the risk of cataracts is increased among statin users compared with non-users.21 Cataract is a clouding of your eye lens and is a main cause of low vision among the elderly.

By Dr. Mercola

"Cholesterol lowering via statin drugs has become a national obsession to such an extent that many think cholesterol is the primary cause of heart disease. Yet 50% of heart deaths have normal cholesterol levels. There are many more serious and common causes that are ignored, yet curable without drugs. Clearly written, well-researched, and documented by the medical literature, this book by Sherry Rogers, M.D. should be in every physician and layperson's hands who want to stave off early heart death." - J. Alexander Bralley, Ph.D., CEO, MetaMetrix, Clinical Laboratory, Co-author of Laboratory Evaluations in Molecular Medicine - Nutrients, Toxicants and Cell Regulators

"Over half the folks on statin drugs get coronary artery disease anyway, plus the drugs set them up for Alzheimer's, impotence, suicide, cancer and an avalanche of drug-induced nutrient deficiencies that propel them toward accelerated aging. I highly recommend reading this revolutionary, exceeding well documented book so that you will know more than your cardiologist does about drug-free heart healing. Having high cholesterol is one of the luckiest things that ever happened to you if it leads you to this book. Actually, everyone should read it, regardless of their cholesterol status, everyone, that is who plans on being alive next
year." - Doris J. Rapp, M.D., Board Certified in
Pediatrics and Environmental Medicine, author of Our Toxic World, A Wake -Up Call (

My advice to all of you is to start educating yourself about what cholesterol really means before you decide to take the medication and for avoiding saturated fats and cholesterol rich foods. None of these will work. It will be like killing the messenger (cholesterol) for delivering you bad news.

Cholesterol is a health-promoting substance. It is a critical component of cell membranes, the precursor to all steroid hormones, a precursor to vitamin D, and the limiting factor that brain cells need to make connections with one another called synapses, making it essential to learning and memory.

Some of the most nutritious foods like egg yolks and liver are also the foods richest in cholesterol. The anti-fat, anti-cholesterol campaign has demonized these foods for decades without any evidence they cause disease. To the contrary, they promote health.
In regards to Cholesterol, we agree with most of this research. This newsletter was written to educate people about how important Cholesterol is and the fact that it isn’t fighting against the body but is created in the liver to help the body in many ways!

Good Natural Sources of Cholesterol

The foods we recommend are the following but in the
organic, unprocessed form. The higher temperature a
food is cooked the less nutritional benefit it has as
vitamins, minerals, fats, nutrients are destroyed or weakened significantly. Eating the following foods, raw and fresh are the best way to receive the most benefits from the following foods.

Note: If you do cook these foods, do it with low heat and don’t heat to high temperatures to preserve the benefits of the vitamins, nutrients, fats, proteins and minerals.
1. Eggs – Raw and fresh are the best forms.
2. Meats – Beef, especially Beef liver
3. Fish – Raw and fresh are the best forms.
4. Clams and Oysters and many shellfish – Raw and fresh are the best forms.
5. Cheese – Raw and unpasteurized is the best state.
6. Butter – Raw unpasteurized is the very best state.
7. Milk – Raw form is the very best. The more milk is processed the more benefits are lost.
Note: Fruits and vegetables are very low in saturated fat and total fat, and have no cholesterol.
Note: Health benefits from good natural foods are reduced or cancelled out if you deep-fry them in a vat of vegetable oil.

Cholesterol and Fat content in foods:

The Benefits of High Cholesterol
People with high cholesterol live the longest. This
statement seems so incredible that it takes a long time
to clear one´s brainwashed mind to fully understand its importance. Yet the fact that people with high cholesterol live the longest emerges clearly from many scientific papers. Consider the finding of Dr. Harlan Krumholz of the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine at Yale University, who reported in 1994 that old people with low cholesterol died twice as often from a heart attack as did old people with a high cholesterol. Supporters of the
cholesterol campaign consistently ignore his
observation, or consider it as a rare exception,
produced by chance among a huge number of studies finding the opposite. But it is not an exception; there are now a large number of findings that contradict the lipid hypothesis. To be more specific, most studies of old people have shown that high cholesterol is not a risk factor for coronary heart disease.

Now consider that more than 90 % of all cardiovascular
disease is seen in people above age 60 also and that
almost all studies have found that high cholesterol is not
a risk factor for women. This means that high
cholesterol is only a risk factor for less than 5 % of
those who die from a heart attack.

But there is more comfort for those who have high cholesterol; six of the studies found that total mortality was inversely associated with either total or LDL-cholesterol, or both. This means that it is actually much better to have high than to have low cholesterol if you want to live to be very old.

By Uffe Ravnskov, MD, PhD

If you have read the above information, you can see how essential Cholesterol is to the body. Do all you can to make sure your body has sufficient amounts of Cholesterol for the body to function at its optimum best. Research more if you are not convinced that Cholesterol is good for you. Remember to “follow the money” of those that profit from all this disinformation and lies about Cholesterol and promote the low fat, low cholesterol. Compare what they say to others that are just observing how the body naturally produces Cholesterol and how it is utilized in the body and you decide. May you be guided to the truth about Cholesterol.

We will be discussing “Cholesterol” on this week’s G2Voice Biradcast. Tune in Sunday, May 14th at 10 AM CST:

This breakthrough can save your life, or the life of a loved one. In 1996, while on a gold mining expedition in South America, I discovered that chlorine dioxide quickly cured malaria. Since that time, it has proven to restore partial or full health to hundreds of thousands of people suffering from a wide range of disease, including cancer, diabetes, hepatitis A, B, C, Lyme disease, MRSA, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, HIV/AIDS, malaria, autism, infections of all kinds, arthritis, high cholesterol, acid reflux, kidney or liver diseases, aches and pains, allergies, urinary tract infections, digestive problems, high blood pressure, obesity, parasites, tumors and cysts, depression, sinus problems, eye disease, ear infections, dengue fever, skin problems, dental issues, problems with prostate (high PSA), erectile dysfunction and the list goes on. This is by far not a comprehensive list. I know it sounds too good to be true, but according to feedback I have received over the last 18 years, I think it’s safe to say MMS is able to overcome most diseases known to mankind.

Go back up Secrets of Enlightenment (2012)

This book gives simple answers to most of the questions people ask, such as: Where did I come from? Why am I here? Why don’t I remember my existence before this life? What is my purpose in life? Etc.

This book has been 60 years in the writing and compilation (this lifetime). It is unique and quite different than most books about enlightenment.  I believe that you learn about spirituality and life by living life and taking part in the game of life, not by being tucked away in a cloistered setting. You may not believe in past lives, but in case you do, I believe I have received much of the information about life given in this book from past lives. This book gives simple answers to most of the questions people ask, such as: Where did I come from? Why am I here? Why don’t I remember my existence before this life? What is my purpose in life? Etc.

Secrets of Enlightenment points out that life is a game and that you should play it to the hilt. In these pages you’ll discover secrets, or what I call an understanding of life, that is not found in any other book on Earth and if that is not so, I will be happy to refund your money at any time.
